How to Lose Fat
Fat is known by the term lipid in the scientific world. Fats are a necessary part of the diet and are required to sustain life just as carbohydrates and proteins. But there is so much fat in almost every food that you need not make any extra effort to consume fat. In fact most people want to know how to lose fat they already have on their bodies whether in their belly’s or other problem areas. Guys are known to store fat in the abdominal region while women store it more in the butt, hips thigh region. More and more we are seeing people storing more fat in around their stomachs. This is very dangerous because abdominal fat increases the risk for heart disease. There are many fads that claim to have the best way to lose fat but taking any type of diet pill that’s supposed to have a slimming effect on your body is most likely not going to be healthy and not work. Weight loss pills and get ripped quick scams are all over and growing in popularity. The reason for this is that people always want a quick fix for any problem. The fact of the matter is that in order to get rid of fat and get to your desirable weight you need to eat healthy and get on an exercise routine to lose fat. It’s not a 50/50 split between diet and exercise that will make you lose weight. It is weighted much heavier on the diet side of the equation. Think of it as a 65/35 split where what you eat accounts for 65% of what you look like while only 35% is from how much exercise you do. If you take either one of those numbers it will still end up in a failing grade unless you combine the two. Going to the gym everyday and lifting weights won’t make you look like a bodybuilder. Taking supplements that promise fat loss and muscle gain will not give you a ripped stomach. Some supplements can help and I would recommend them, but nothing can replace the importance of a well balanced diet and a great exercise routine for fat loss.
Fat consumption is a huge problem and when combined with over eating, the results are devastating. There are different types of fat and they differ from each other on how bad they are. Saturated fat is the worst for you and should avoided when possible. If a fat is liquid at room temperature it is better for you than a fat that is solid. But fat is not the only thing that will cause weight gain. The wrong kind or too many carbs will also cause an influx of weight on the human body. Carbs are the best source of energy and needed in the body. Any diet that requires you to eat no carbs is not a healthy diet and serious health risks can occur. A low-carb diet is okay but should be examined very carefully. Doctors are not the first place you should go for help on any type of weight loss diet program. Almost 90% of doctors only took one nutrition class in med school which in no way would qualify them to council anyone on nutrition. A typical nutrition student pursuing their bachelors degree is required to take at least 10 different nutrition classes. Know that if you have read a textbook on nutrition you know more about it than 99% of doctors practicing today. The American diet has no problem with too much protein intake. If anything most people don’t get enough protein in their diets. Protein is not readily available to be used as energy and almost never is required as energy in the body. Protein makes up the structures of many things inside the body and is needed for muscle growth. If you workout you need to be consuming adequate protein to rebuild your muscles.
