How to Lose Chest Fat-Chest Exercises to Get Rid of Man Boobs

Chest exercises for men to lose man boobs are very important for all the men that have lost control of their bodies or have always had extra fat on their chests.

Chest fat is just like fat on any other part of the body, some males start to store fat in the fat cells of the chest just like most men store fat in the abdominal area. The fact is that you have to replace that fat with muscle in order to get rid of your man boobs.

Dieting is absolutely necessary when you have extra fat on any part of your body. Food intake will reduce fat in your body better than any exercise because food is what causes the fat in the first place. There are 3500 calories in one pound of fat. That means that you would have to either do a lot of cardio to burn one pound or simply eat a little less for a few days to lose 1 pound of fat.

So how do you lose chest fat? You start by eating right, but that is not all. Diet will start to reduce the fat on your chest but you need to build muscle under that fat and give you chest a true manly look.

The best chest workout routine will involve targeting the upper, lower, inner and outer parts of your chest muscles. The chest muscles are often referred to as your pecs or pectoralis major. So to get a good pec workout you need to do exercises that will use the muscles of your chest.

Any movement where you push something away from your chest will workout your pecs and make them stronger and firmer. So a push-up is a great chest exercise for men and women. Your chest can withstand a lot of weight so don’t be afraid to really work it out hard. Start by doing ten push-ups each minute for 7 minutes. Then you can move on to the 7 minutes in hell push-up workout routine developed by Cade Orvin who has a B.S. Exercise Science and is one of the leading authorities on fitness in United States.

Healthy Way to Lose Belly Fat

Belly fat is not lost by doing a thousand crunches a day or by buying crazy abdominal contraptions that are supposed to zap away the fat without any physical exertion on your part.  The healthy way to lose belly fat is through what you eat more than what type of ab workouts you do.

I’m not saying that you should train your abs because you should!  You need to have a strong core and that includes doing a lot of lower back exercises as well as ab exercises.  You need to have adequate strength in your stomach to function.  I’m not saying that you need to get 6 pack abs in order to be healthy but I am saying that working out your stomach will help you in your journey to loose belly fat.

The healthy way to lose fat on any part of your body is by eating better and exercising. But people have a hard time staying on tract. So if you need help or motivation you can always get a personal trainer. But if that is not what you are looking for you can always get a workout program that will provide you with step by step instructions and it will give you the motivation to follow through with your goals. The truth about abs is a great workout program that you can follow to get great results. This works because it costs money and if you spend money on something you are going to follow it because you want to get your moneys worth. That’s the exact same way that personal trainers always get results, because it holds people accountable for going to the gym.

Weight Gain

What happens inside the body when a person does not use up all of the food energy take in?  The energy-yielding nutrients contribute the excess to body stores as follows:

  • Carbohydrate (other than fiber) is broken down to sugars for absorption.  In the body tissues, excesses of these may be built up to glycogen and stored, burned off as heat, or converted to fat and stored.
  • Fat is broken down to glycerol and fatty acids for absorption.  Inside the body, storage as body fat is very efficient.
  • Protein is broken down to amino acids for absorption.  Inside the body, these may be used to replace lost body protein and, in a person who is exercising, to build new muscle and other lean tissue.  This protein must be functioning protein; excess protein is not passively stored.  Excess amino acids have their nitrogen removed and are used for energy or are converted to glucose or fat, mostly fat.
  • Alcohol is easily absorbed intact and is converted into body fat for storage.

Although 3 kinds of energy-yielding nutrients and alcohol may enter the body, they become only 2 kinds of enegry stores:  glycogen and fat.  Glycogen stores amount to about 3/4′s of a pound; fat stores can amount to many pounds.  Note that when excess protein is converted into fat, it cannot be recovered later as protein because the nitrogen is stripped from the amino acids and excreted in the urine.  So you see that if you eat enough of any food, whether it’s steak, chicken, brownies or baked beans, any excess will be turned to fat within hours.  Weight can be gained as body fat or as lean tissue, depending mostly upon whether the eater is also exercising.  Learn more here on the truth about abs.

Healthy Body Fat Percentage

I’m sure you have wondered what percentage of your body should be fat and what should be muscle.  There are many different ways to measure what a healthy body fat percentage should be and some are more accurate than others.  The most accurate way to measure body fat is an under water test.  Before I get into the real tests to determine fat percentage I need to explain the extreme faults of using graphs and especially the BMI chart.  BMI (body mass index) is the worst system for determining if someone is overweight.  The only 2 things that are taken into consideration with BMI are the height and weight of the person.  It doesn’t matter if your weight is muscle or where your weight is located.  All bodybuilders are considered obese according to their BMI’s.  This system should not exist and is completely pointless.

A measurement that is more important to consider is the waist circumference.  A male with a waist greater than 40 inches or a female with a waist of 35 inches or more have an elevated risk for heart disease and type 2 diabetes.  Android obesity is the technical term for belly fat obesity and is a greater health risk than storing fat in any other part of the body.

  • The fatfold test- When you use calipers to measure the thickness of a fold of skin on various parts of the body.  This is somewhat accurate but can vary greatly with each personal trainer that takes your measurement.
  • Underwater Weighing- Considered the most accurate test for a healthy body fat percentage.  It measures density and volume to determine fat.
  • Bioelectrical Impedance- Only water and muscle can produce an electrical current so this method sees how easily an electrical charge can go through the body.  The amount of water you have consumed can greatly affect the results.

So how much fat is healthy?

  • Males at 22% body fat are unhealthy if they are under 40 years of age, otherwise it’s 25%.
  • Women at 32% body fat are unhealthy if they are under 40 years of age, otherwise it’s 35%.

Body fat scales use the bioelectrical impedence to determine you body fat percentage while body fat calipers use fat folds.  Using a calculator to analyze your results is the most common way now, because it takes all the math out of the equation.  Knowing where you are starting will motivate you and know how to lose fat will help you in your pursuit of the healthy way to lose fat.

How to Lose Fat

Fat is known by the term lipid in the scientific world.  Fats are a necessary part of the diet and are required to sustain life just as carbohydrates and proteins.  But there is so much fat in almost every food that you need not make any extra effort to consume fat.  In fact most people want to know how to lose fat they already have on their bodies whether in their belly’s or other problem areas.  Guys are known to store fat in the abdominal region while women store it more in the butt, hips thigh region.  More and more we are seeing people storing more fat in around their stomachs.  This is very dangerous because abdominal fat increases the risk for heart disease.  There are many fads that claim to have the best way to lose fat but taking any type of diet pill that’s supposed to have a slimming effect on your body is most likely not going to be healthy and not work.  Weight loss pills and get ripped quick scams are all over and growing in popularity.  The reason for this is that people always want a quick fix for any problem.  The fact of the matter is that in order to get rid of fat and get to your desirable weight you need to eat healthy and get on an exercise routine to lose fat.  It’s not a 50/50 split between diet and exercise that will make you lose weight.  It is weighted much heavier on the diet side of the equation.  Think of it as a 65/35 split where what you eat accounts for 65% of what you look like while only 35% is from how much exercise you do.  If you take either one of those numbers it will still end up in a failing grade unless you combine the two.  Going to the gym everyday and lifting weights won’t make you look like a bodybuilder.  Taking supplements that promise fat loss and muscle gain will not give you a ripped stomach.  Some supplements can help and I would recommend them, but nothing can replace the importance of a well balanced diet and a great exercise routine for fat loss.

Fat consumption is a huge problem and when combined with over eating, the results are devastating.  There are different types of fat and they differ from each other on how bad they are.  Saturated fat is the worst for you and should avoided when possible.  If a fat is liquid at room temperature it is better for you than a fat that is solid.   But fat is not the only thing that will cause weight gain.  The wrong kind or too many carbs will also cause an influx of weight on the human body.  Carbs are the best source of energy and needed in the body.  Any diet that requires you to eat no carbs is not a healthy diet and serious health risks can occur.  A low-carb diet is okay but should be examined very carefully.  Doctors are not the first place you should go for help on any type of weight loss diet program.  Almost 90% of doctors only took one nutrition class in med school which in no way would qualify them to council anyone on nutrition.  A typical nutrition student pursuing their bachelors degree is required to take at least 10 different nutrition classes.  Know that if you have read a textbook on nutrition you know more about it than 99% of doctors practicing today.  The American diet has no problem with too much protein intake.  If anything most people don’t get enough protein in their diets.  Protein is not readily available to be used as energy and almost never is required as energy in the body.  Protein makes up the structures of many things inside the body and is needed for muscle growth.  If you workout you need to be consuming adequate protein to rebuild your muscles.
